I’m Sarah Grace, but most people know me as Dr. Grace. I am an author, speaker, television host, advisor, biblical counselor, and chaplain.
Everything I do today has been inspired by my own journey of spiritual awakening, emotional healing, and personal transformation—from a high school dropout to a three-time honorary doctorate nominee. I earned my GED while pregnant with my first child, attending a school for unwed mothers in the basement of St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. It was during that deeply challenging season that I prayed a simple prayer: “God, if You’re real, show me who You are, and I will serve You for the rest of my life.” He did.
Eventually I had an encounter with God —through Christian radio and television—ignited a spiritual awakening and set me on a lifelong path of personal transformation that continues to this day.
I began sharing my story in storefront churches, then on street corners, and eventually in halfway houses, homeless shelters, and rehabilitation centers.
Over time, my story reached broader audiences, both in person and through media. I have shared on religious and mainstream platforms, including TBN and local ABC and FOX affiliates. Today, I host my own original television program, which has the potential to reach nearly 100,000 viewers each time it airs in Middle Tennessee, as well as countless viewers around the world through my online platforms.
While the majority of my work takes place outside the “four walls” of the traditional church, and I fully credit God’s grace and supernatural power for everything I have been able to accomplish, I also deeply value accountability and the discipline of systematic study. In keeping with the biblical mandate to “study to show yourself approved” (2 Timothy 2:15), my work is supported by more than two decades of continual mentorship, training, coursework, certifications, and ordination.
I have been licensed and ordained as an Elder and officiant, and I am a certified chaplain through a diversity of independent, non-denominational ministries. My work is grounded in Scripture, informed by lived experience, and supported by formal study in theology, ministry, and psychology, along with certifications in coaching, mental health support, advocacy, and chaplaincy. I have also been honored with three honorary doctorate nominations in Christian Humane Letters, Divinity, and Professional Leadership.
I was born in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, spent much of my early life in Baltimore, Maryland—which I consider my hometown—and currently live in Nashville, Tennessee, where I attend church, produce my television show, and serve as a chaplain.
